ABOUT US This is a photo of our workshop in Bali, Indonesia, on Silverworker's Day - a special day of blessing for trade. Our workshop accepts men and women to learn the craft after they finish their secondary schooling.Made (pictured above with wife and children) is the foreman of the workshop. He descends from generations of gold and silversmiths and he is dedicated to running a workshop-school that cele-brates and preserves this craft. I am grateful to him for his vision. The open air setting is both beau-tiful and safe. The work spaces are well lighted and situated by a small ornamental fish pond. We are members of the Fair Trade Federation, an association of fair trade wholesalers, retailers and producers who are committed to providing fair wages and employment opportunities to low-income artisans and farmers worldwide. Our mission is to educate consumers about the importance of purchasing fairly traded products which support living wages and safe and healthy working conditions for workers in the Third World.
